Virgin Galaxy plans its first tourist flight in early 2021.

The Virgin Galactic space tourism company plans to make its first flight with tourists in the first quarter of 2021, world agencies reported.

The founder of the company, the British billionaire Richard Branson, will travel with him. In a press release, Virgin Galaxy said it was embarking on the next phase of its test flights, with two manned flights planned for the fall.

"If both tests lead to the results we expect, Sir Richard Branson's space flight will be able to take place in the first quarter of 2021," the statement said.

This will be the start of the tourist flights of "Virgin Galaxy", for which more than 600 people have already bought tickets worth 250 thousand dollars each.

The development of the SpaceShip 2 ship was delayed to some extent due to an incident in 2014, when a mistake by one of the two pilots led to the collapse of the aircraft during the flight, the agencies recall.
