A fisherman caught a rare double-headed shark

A fisherman caught a rare double-headed shark.

The fisherman from Maharashtra, India - Nitil Patil, has witnessed one of the rarest animal specimens in the world - a two-headed fallen shark.

The man is on his traditional fishing off the coast of his state in the Arabian Sea, when he pulls the little creature out of his net. He takes a few pictures of him and decides to take him back to the sea, as he himself admits that such small fish should not be eaten, let alone sharks.

Dr. Achilles of the Indian Council for Agricultural Research has confirmed that the two-headed shark is an extremely rare creature. This is the third recorded case in history, the first two being in Gujarat in 1964 and in Karnataka in 1991.
