Explosion of a Russian tanker in the Sea of Azov.

An explosion occurred on Sunday on the Russian tanker "General Azi Aslanov" in the Sea of Azov. No fuel leak was reported, but three sailors are unknown, Russian media reported.

The tanker with a 13-member crew sailed from the port of Caucasus to Rostov-on-Don. After the blast, four sailors remained on board, six were rescued and three are unknown and are wanted in the water.

The tanker was empty at the time of the explosion. Authorities believe the blast may have been caused by residual fumes from the ship's previous cargo.
