Mariah Carey admitted that she cheated on her despotic first husband

Mariah Carey admitted that she cheated on her despotic first husband.

Singer Mariah Carey admits in her autobiography, in which she "does not leave a stone unturned", that she cheated on her despotic first husband, Daily Star writes.

In 1993, at just 23, Kerry married 43-year-old music producer Tommy Motola, who she said later took control of her and prevented her from seeing friends and family. The couple separated in 1997.

The world-famous singer's autobiography "The Meaning of Mariah Carey" hit the book market on Monday.

In the book, the singer reveals that during her marriage to Motola she kept a bag of luggage under her bed in case she had to run away from it.

"I felt like he was stopping my circulation, keeping me away from the friends and humble family I had. I couldn't talk to anyone who wasn't under Tommy's control. I couldn't go out or do anything with anyone. No I could move freely even in my own house", Kerry wrote.

Tommy Motola has not publicly commented on the allegations in his ex-wife's autobiographical book, but has said he wishes "all the best to her and her family".

Mariah Carey also revealed that she cheated on Motola with New York Yankees player Derek Jeter, with whom she became close, as they both have parents of different races.

The singer defines her affair with Jeter as the necessary "catalyst" to get rid of Tommy Motola's control.

Between 1998 and 2001, Mariah Carey had a relationship with singer Louis Miguel.

In 2008, the singer married actor and comedian Nick Cannon, whom she met in the photos for the video for her song "Bye Bye", reminds BTA. Three years later, their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, were born.

In August 2014, Nick Cannon confirmed that he and Mariah Carey had broken up. In December of that year, Cannon filed for divorce.

After a brief engagement to Australian billionaire James Packer, in 2016 Mariah Carey began a relationship with choreographer Brian Tanaka, marked by sections and reunions.
