China has launched the world's first 6G test satellite into orbit.

China has successfully launched the world's first 6G satellite into space to test the technology, the BBC reported. It went into orbit along with 12 other satellites from the Taiyuan satellite launch center in Shanxi Province.

High-speed technology, which will be one of the main elements of sixth-generation communications, will be tested. The satellite also carries technology that will be used to monitor crop disasters and prevent forest fires.
