An explosion at a wastewater station in Bristol has killed and injured people.

A powerful explosion shook an industrial area near the British city of Bristol. Numerous casualties and injuries were reported.

The cause of the explosion was an accident at a wastewater treatment plant. Eyewitnesses say the blast shook buildings in the area. There are at least 10 ambulances, fire engines and rescue teams on site.

According to the Bulgarian embassy in London, there are no data on injured Bulgarians. Our mission is in contact with local authorities and ready to provide assistance if necessary, the Foreign Ministry said.
