A person's mood, his ability to work, ability to concentrate and quick reactions is directly related to nutrition. Sometimes with only small adjustments in nutrition we can make the bad mood remain only a distant memory. Here are some foods that will help us be happier:

Eat chocolate

Eating dark chocolate makes us feel really happy. This is because the body harvests the benefits of cocoa - the raw ingredient that gives chocolate flavor and color. Cocoa contains phenylethylamine, which leads to the release of endorphins.

Choose real dark chocolate with a content of over 70% cocoa and avoid the consumption of milk chocolate, as it contains added sugar and fat.

Do not underestimate the nuts

Nuts and seeds are high in vegetable protein, healthy fats and fiber.

Hazelnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cashews, chia are only a small part of the great wealth that is a source of mood, but also of omega-3 fatty acids.

Spices to improve mood

Studies show that some spices, such as turmeric and saffron, have similar effects to some anti-depressant medications.


Bananas contain tryptophan - a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin. Sufficient hormone maintains a good mood. It is known that people with low levels of serotonin in the blood are prone to depression.
